Jane Cooper refers to her work as abstracted representation. Her imagery delineates form and alters focus; both amplifying and obscuring recognizable shapes and shadows. She explores colors, mediums and composition to create an atmospheric sense of place and time. Her work has been exhibited in numerous countries, is among Corporate and private collections as well as in galleries on the East Coast. Jane is both a painter and a printmaker working from her Katonah, New York studio and the studios at The Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT.
