I studied at The School of Visual Arts and a small college in the mid west. I returned to NYC where I was a graphic designer and freelance illustrator. I eventually moved to Westchester and it has been my home for the last 30 plus years.
For the last 15 years I have been creating and teaching botanical art. I received my certification in botanical art at the New York Botanical Gardens in 2004. I have enjoyed teaching botanical art at Ward Pound Ridge Reserve, Lasdon Arboretum and the New York Botanical Gardens.
Returning to oils in the last few years is like coming home again. I now enjoy painting in my studio and outdoors (plein air) in the beautiful countryside that surrounds us. The land, trails and villages of the Hudson Valley and Cape Cod are my subjects and inspiration.
My days are spent teaching or painting in my studio or outdoors (plein air). Not a day goes by without walking my loved dogs over the hills of Westchester and taking in the beauty that surrounds us.
